The Kirk Family of Redway?

This is twice I've seen the last name Kirk show up in the news in the last month or two. Last time, the Times- Standard had a story about some elderly lady, with a last name of Kirk, that led the cops on a leisurely car chase in Southern Humboldt. This time, some guy with the last name of Kirk gets hit over the head with a bottle down on a beach in Redway.

Might they be related to our very own Eric Kirk? I was of the impression he didn't have family up here.

No Fred, I think they're all part of the Captain Kirk family. Now, get back to your video games.

There is a Kirk family down here, but no relationship to be at least since my line hightailed it to Denmark to flee the aftermath of the Rose Wars.

Don't forget the old tar whose family became the Salt-kirks. Selkirk. You know, the original Robinson Crusoe.
