State Spending Still Growing

State Senator Tom McClintock gives us the latest heads up on the state of state spending in today's Sacramento Bee. Those of you worried about spending "cuts" apparently need not worry. According to Sen. McClintock:

"When Gov. Gray Davis left office in 2003, California state government spent $8.80 for every $100 of personal income. Today it spends $9.54......"

"Over the last three years, while general fund revenues have grown 23 percent, spending has grown 30 percent -- significantly faster than it did under Davis."

I love McClintock. He's one of those guys that calls it like it is-it's hard to believe he's a republican. A little too honest and outspoken to go too far in politics.

You mean the republicans criticized the amount Davis spent , then took office and increased the amount? They love big government and taxing the middle class.
